Biomechanics Analysis physiotherapy

Biomechanics analysis physiotherapy basically means the application of mechanical principles in the function of the human movement, anatomy and physiology

The fundamental principals is the calculation and to determine how forces and torques are generated from within the body and by body parts, or how forces, when applied or how they're applied to the body, influence the way humans move.

Problems such as structural imbalance in your legs will affect your

  • posture
  • walking
  • strength
  • stamina
  • performance
  • mobility

Movement specific problems relating to activity or sports performance are common and both athletes and amateurs alike can benefit from biomechanical analysis, and it's something all our licensed senior physiotherapists will do in every one-to-one physiotherapy session with our patients.

The reason for doing this is because mapping key anatomical reference points allows you to gain detailed insight into start and finish positions, relative speed, quality and range of movements and biomechanical patterns.

For a patient with back pain or knee pain, having an accurate clinical evaluation of your legs and back will be crucial in understanding the complex effects of the seemingly small and subtle problems in your feet, ankle, hip and/or knee alignment can cause.
